What does the domain reservation involve?

Thanks to domain reservation, you can secure a great advantage from the start when launching new extensions. Completely free of charge, you won't miss any important dates, as we will keep you informed at all times about updates regarding domain names of the extensions you have reserved, with no hidden costs or conditions.

Domain Reservation Conditions

• The reservation does not imply a pre-registration or registration of the domain. The client who has reserved a domain under a specific extension will be informed in advance of its launch to proceed with pre-registration or registration if they wish. The cost of pre-registration for each extension will be published once the registration costs are known (most will range between €20/year and €90/year).
• Domain reservation and subsequent pre-registration will not have priority over possible registrations occurring in the Sunrise or Landrush phases, or over domains pre-reserved by the Registry prior to the extension launch date.
• There is no guarantee of domain registration at the time of the extension opening. DonDominio will attempt to automate registration at the opening moment of the extension. In previous openings, we have reached capture rates close to 80% for .PW and .SX domains, or 70% for .XXX domains.
• Domain reservation does not imply the opening of the extension itself or its assignment, especially in cases of extensions that ultimately opt for closed or community registration systems.
• Reservations of domains associated with certain extensions will be provisional until they are definitively implemented in our system. While, in general, we can offer domain reservations under a specific extension, it is possible that, ultimately, we may not be able to offer definitive domain registration under the same, due to reasons beyond our control, such as the extension being closed to the general public, its promoters deciding not to launch the extension, or operational costs set by the promoters making it unfeasible for us to implement in our system.
