How can I configure an automatic reply message?

Vacation / Absence Message

You can create an "auto-reply" that is only active during specific dates from the "Out of Office" section in the "Settings" of WebMail.

Vacation Message

It is important to note that by default, this filter will only activate once per email account per day, meaning if an email account sends you more than one email the same day, they will only receive one auto-reply.

If you extend the "days" in the "Response interval" field, that one-message limit will reset after the specified days. For example, if you set "3 days", the filter will only respond to the same email account if another email is received after 3 days.

Auto-reply Filter

It is also possible to create a filter to send auto-replies to all emails received by the account or that meet certain rules.

To do this, we will go to the "Settings" > "Filters" section within our email account in WebMail and click the "[+] Create" button:

Create filter in WebMail

Next, we will fill out the form for creating the filter:

  • Filter Name: {The name that allows us to identify the filter's action}
  • Filter activated: Yes
  • Actions: Reply with a message

The remaining fields should be filled with the desired content.
