Can I redirect the domain I have just contracted with MrDomain to a website I have with external hosting?
There are several ways to redirect our domain to an external web hosting.
First, we will access the domain management panel and go to the "Parking & DNS Zone" section, or by clicking the "Manage Parking" button.
Depending on the situation, it will be necessary to redirect in one way or another:
- DNS: If you have contracted a web hosting with an external provider, they will usually provide you with DNS addresses to configure from this section, this will redirect "all service", both web and mail, to the target DNS server, for example:
- ns1.tuservidordealojamiento.com - ns2.tuservidordealojamiento.com
Redirections: We will use a redirection when the aim is to point to another domain or a specific URL of a domain. The "Frame" type redirection will keep your domain's URL while displaying the web content, but some servers do not allow the use of redirections of this type.
DNS Zone: External hosting providers often offer an alternative to the "DNS" format, to do so through "DNS Records" like A, ANAME, CNAME, etc... With this alternative, we can point the web service to one server, and for example, the email service to another one.
